Good food, efficient service

Visited Kinugawa Paris. Had the Yellowtail Sashimi and a Maki Roll. Food quality was excellent. Service was prompt and professional. No issues encountered.

Good value for a high-end meal

I was looking for a nice place that wouldn't completely break the bank, and Kinugawa's Business Lunch Menu caught my eye. The price for what you got was actually pretty good for a fancy restaurant. I had the Chicken Teriyaki and it was a decent portion and very tasty. It felt like I got a high-quality meal without paying top dollar, which was exactly what I wanted. Definitely felt worth the money.

Solid experience, minor points

My recent visit to Kinugawa for their Business Lunch Menu was mostly positive. The Wagyu Beef was prepared perfectly and the Omakase Menu offered a good variety. However, while the service was attentive, there was a slight delay getting our initial drink orders, which was a small hiccup during a business meal. The atmosphere was elegant and suitable for the occasion, and overall the value for the quality of food was fair. I'd definitely consider returning for another business lunch, but hope for a quicker start next time.

Loved the Rock Shrimp Tempura!

Oh my goodness, Kinugawa is amazing! I tried the Rock Shrimp Tempura and it was just incredible, so crispy and flavorful. The atmosphere was beautiful and the staff were so helpful. I also had some Nigiri Sushi which was super fresh. I'm already planning my next visit and telling everyone I know to go there!

Really good food, nice evening

I went to Kinugawa Paris last week with some friends and we had a great time. I tried the Black Cod Miso and it was super tasty, seriously melt-in-your-mouth good. My friend had the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice and said it was really good too. The cocktails were well made. It's a fancy spot but the vibe was chill enough that we felt comfortable just hanging out. Definitely a nice place for a special dinner.

Can I just walk in for dinner or do I NEED a reservation? Planning to go to the Dubai one soon.

C Cleo 3 weeks ago
You definitely need a reservation, especially for dinner and on weekends. It gets booked up super fast.

Don't even try walking in, especially if it's a peak time. I tried once in Paris and learned my lesson. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment, trust me.

What's the best way to compare Kinugawa with Nobu? Like, if I've been to Nobu before, how does Kinugawa stack up in terms of food and vibe?

K Kevin 1 month ago
I'd say Kinugawa has a slightly more traditional, almost Parisian-influenced elegance compared to Nobu. Food quality is super similar though, both amazing.

Nobu can feel a bit more 'scene-y' sometimes. Kinugawa, especially in Paris, feels a bit more intimate and luxurious, if that makes sense. The black cod miso is a must-try at both, but Kinugawa's version is slightly different, still delicious though!

Thinking of getting a gift for my parents, like a dinner at Kinugawa. Do they sell gift cards or like, a 'coffret cadeau' kinda thing?

T Tom 1 month ago
Yeah, they do! I remember seeing 'coffret cadeau' mentioned on their site. So you can definitely get them a gift certificate or package.

I bought one for my boss last Christmas, it was easy enough to arrange. Just contact them directly, I think it's handled through their events or reservations team rather than an online store thing.

Hey, thinking of trying Kinugawa for a special occasion. Do they ever have like, promo codes or anything? Or is it just full price all the time?

C Cleo Osei 1 month ago
Nah, I've never seen promo codes for them. It's a pretty high-end place. Usually, the 'deals' are like fixed-price lunch menus if you go then.

Yeah, what that person said. Don't expect a coupon. They do have special menus for things like business lunches or if you book a big group directly with them, but no public codes ever afaik.

Planning a trip to Paris, want to hit up Kinugawa. Is there like a dress code? Don't want to show up in jeans and get turned away lol.

M Mark 1 month ago
Oh definitely. It's super fancy. I'd say smart casual at the very least, but most people dress up more. Think nice dinner out, not just a casual meal.

Yeah, I went to the one in Paris last year. Saw a few people get side-eyed for being underdressed. Definitely put on something nice, like a jacket for guys and a dress or chic outfit for ladies. It's part of the vibe.
